Believe it or not, our supermarket giants sometimes disapprove of fully recyclable products. They call in a consumer panel and ask these poor ignorant consumers if they think a certain packaging is recyclable or compostable.
And what happens? These consumers think the packaging looks “too plasticky” or “not healthy”, while the packaging is definitely environmentally friendly! Forcing the supplier into changing their packaging methods, costing them and the supermarket customer a lot of money.
